Friends and colleagues are invited
to celebrate the career of Dr. Richard A. Bajura as he officially retires from
his post as director of the WVU National Research Center for Coal and Energy,
Tuesday, September 19, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Club
Room of the WVU Erickson Alumni Center, Morgantown, W.Va.
Dr. Bajura joined the WVU College
of Engineering as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering in 1969 and
was promoted to associate professor in 1974 and full professor in 1978. In
1984, he became the second director of the WVU Energy Research Center, today’s
National Research Center for Coal and Energy. From 1990 to 1994, he served as
Associate Provost for Research, resuming directorship of the NRCCE in 1994.
